Self Build

I specialise in planning appeals for self-build housing. 

 

Helping someone obtain planning permission to build their own home is one of the most rewarding parts of a town planner. For the self-builder, the planning decision is likely to be lifechanging.

At two Local Planning Authorities, I was responsible for planning policy regarding self (and custom) build housing. Through this, I've gained in depth knowledge of the evidence planning Inspector's need to overturn the council's refusal.

When appealing a refusal, I tend to dig a little deeper than other planning consultants, even challenging the council's performance against its self-build register. It gets results. 

 

I am also proud member of the National Custom and Self-Build Association.
